Former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Social gathering, PDP, in Kwara State, Alhaji Babatunde Mohammed, has resigned from the get together, DAILY POST studies.
In a telephone chat with DAILY POST in Ilorin on Saturday, Mohammed disclosed that he plans to defect to the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
The erstwhile Speaker, generally known as a staunch loyalist of former Senate President Dr Bukola Saraki, stated he had paid his dues in his former get together, having been a member since 2002.
Mohammed, who served as Speaker of the State Home of Meeting between 2009 and 2011 on the platform of the PDP, stated his former get together had turn out to be hopeless, therefore his resolution to depart.
He famous that whereas others, together with leaders of the PDP within the state, defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC, up to now, he selected to stay within the PDP out of loyalty to the get together.
The previous Speaker, in his letter of resignation dated October 15, 2025, despatched to DAILY POST and addressed to the get together chairman of Agunjin Ward within the Ifelodun Native Authorities Space of the state, stated he left the get together for private causes.
