Senator Adams Oshiomhole, who represents Edo North Senatorial District, has stated former President Goodluck Jonathan stands no likelihood towards the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) if he decides to contest the 2027 presidential election.
Talking on Channels Tv’s Sunday Politics, Oshiomhole implied that Jonathan’s political base within the South-South area has weakened since 2015, making it troublesome for him to mount any severe problem to the APC.
“We are going to defeat him flatly if he comes out as a result of now, the South-South is not PDP, so the place is he going to start out from?” Oshiomhole requested.
The previous Edo State governor stated solely those that don’t want Jonathan properly would encourage him to return to the political area, warning that such a transfer might tarnish the previous president’s hard-earned legacy.

Equally, the 2023 governorship candidate of the PDP, Abdul-Azeez Adediran, higher referred to as Jandor, has advised Jonathan to not heed calls to contest for the presidency in 2027.
