ABUJA: The Federal Authorities has declared Wednesday, 1st October, 2025 as public vacation to commemorate Nigeria’s sixty fifth Independence Anniversary.
Minister of Inside, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, who made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Authorities, congratulated all Nigerians each at residence and within the diaspora on this historic event.
Dr Tunji-Ojo within the assertion signed by Everlasting Secretary within the ministry, Dr Magdalene Ajani on Monday, enjoined residents to proceed to uphold the patriotic spirit, unity, and resilience which have sustained the nation since independence in 1960.
He urged Nigerians to additional maintain religion within the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu, which is anchored on nationwide rebirth, financial transformation, and collective prosperity.
The Minister expressed confidence that, with the cooperation of all Nigerians, the nation will proceed to develop stronger in peace, progress, and growth.
He wished Nigerians a contented and memorable 2025 Independence Day celebration.
