Assistant Inspector-Basic of Police (AIG) Adegoke Fayoade has debunked media reviews claiming he has been eliminated as the top of Zone 2 Police Command, Lagos, insisting that he stays totally answerable for the command and has not acquired any official communication on the contrary.
An internet medium had on Wednesday reported that the Inspector-Basic of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, ordered the elimination of AIG Fayoade over alleged succession intrigues. The report rapidly went viral, sparking speculations throughout the safety group.
Reacting through cellphone name to Vanguard on Wednesday evening, AIG Fayoade dismissed the report as false and deceptive.
“So far as I’m involved, it’s not true. I’ve not acquired any paper or something, and folks have been calling me in all places. I’m nonetheless working at Zone 2 and doing my official duties because the AIG in cost,” he acknowledged.
He additional clarified that he has continued to discharge his obligations with out interruption, noting that he stays dedicated to sustaining peace and safety throughout the Zone, which covers Lagos and Ogun States.
The senior officer lamented that the unverified report has triggered pressure, stressing that he has not been served with any redeployment or elimination letter from the police authorities.
