*Speaker imposes 3 months suspension on 4 members behind plot

Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue state has denied data of the failed impeachment transfer in opposition to the Speaker of the Benue State Home of Meeting, Mr. Hyacinth Dajoh.
4 members of the State Meeting, specifically, Mr. Alfred Berger representing Makurdi North State Constituency, Cyril Ekong of Oju 2, Abu Umoru of Apa, and Shimawua Terna of Kyan State Constituency, have been Friday at plenary suspended for 3 months on Friday for allegedly initiating impeachment strikes in opposition to the Speaker.
Their suspension following a movement by the Majority Chief of the Home, Saater Tiseer, who drew the eye of the Home to the alleged plot by the 4 members to unseat the Speaker.
He recalled that the Home had two days in the past handed a confidence vote on the Speaker and Governor Alia and described the motion of the 4 members as dishonourable and supposed to create acrimony within the Home as a result of “they went behind to mobilise different members to trigger chaos within the Home.” He moved that the Home droop the lawmakers “from legislative duties for six months for indulging in dishonourable actions able to inflicting acrimony within the Home.”
Seconding the movement, the lawmaker representing Gwer East, Elias Audu condemned the motion of the quartet and supported the movement calling for his or her suspension for six months. Additionally seconding the movement, the Majority Chief Whip, Peter Ipusu stated if he had his means the 4 lawmakers would have been suspended for one yr.
