The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Osun State has faulted the state’s Peoples Democratic Social gathering, PDP, for petitioning the worldwide group relating to alleged disobedience of a courtroom order on native authorities allocations.
In a press assertion issued on Monday by Kola Olabisi, the Osun APC Director of Media and Info, the celebration described PDP’s motion as a waste of time.
The Osun APC additionally accused the PDP of deceptive diplomatic and world human rights organisations.
APC’s response adopted an announcement by the Osun PDP chairman, Sunday Bisi, on Monday, who alleged that the Lawyer Normal of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, and the Minister of Marine and Blue Financial system, Adegboyega Oyetola, have been complicit in withholding allocations because of the native governments within the state.
In keeping with PDP, each ministers have been “plotting and executing the present native authorities disaster in Osun State via deliberate disobedience of a Courtroom of Attraction judgment recognising PDP-elected native authorities chairmen and councillors.”
Reacting to the allegation, APC said, “It’s a pity that the Osun PDP might expose itself to the diplomatic group claiming native authorities allocations are being withheld when nothing of such is occurring.”
The celebration urged worldwide our bodies to ignore what it described as rantings, sustaining that the Courtroom of Attraction’s ruling of February 10, 2025, had reinstated APC native authorities chairmen and councillors.
“The true homeowners of the funds are within the means of amassing their allocations. Nobody is withholding them,” the assertion added.
APC, whereas questioning PDP’s refusal to enchantment the judgment, added, “Why is the PDP withdrawing litigation from the Supreme Courtroom if it believes in its case?”
Referring to a Supreme Courtroom ruling granting unconditional autonomy to native governments, APC accused PDP of appearing as a meddlesome interloper.
Highlighting alleged monetary mismanagement, APC claimed the state authorities is indebted by N84 billion, funds stated to have been collected fraudulently from native authorities councils.
Whereas criticising PDP’s strategy, the celebration said that, “If the PDP is satisfied the ministers disobeyed courtroom orders, the regulation gives a transparent process for contempt proceedings, not petitions to NGOs.
“Writing petitions to NGOs is a waste of time. They haven’t any jurisdiction. The PDP is aware of it has no case.”
