    Former Secretary to the Authorities of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal, has acknowledged that every one elected officers within the North, together with governors looking for re-election, is not going to be re-elected until they be part of the opposition African Democratic Congress.

    Talking throughout an interview on Belief TV’s Sunday Politics, Lawal stated the ruling All Progressives Congress has destroyed and maginalised the North, including that almost all elected officers within the North can be left with no alternative however to defect to the ADC forward of the 2027 basic election.

    “Which northern elected official will go to marketing campaign on the platform of the APC this coming election? No one. Except ab initio, you don’t have any plan to win election. I can’t see anyplace,” he stated.

    Requested if his declare applies to governors looking for re-election, he stated, “Except they be part of the ADC, they won’t win…just because they belong to a harmful social gathering. A celebration that woefully didn’t carry out.”

    The previous SGF stated most northern governors must be part of the ADC in the event that they intend to contest the election. He revealed that the opposition social gathering has already mentioned with a few of the governors

    Lawal additionally echoed Rabiu Kwankwaso’s criticism of President Tinubu’s administration, alleging deliberate neglect of northern Nigeria when it comes to infrastructure improvement.

    “Each Nigerian that has something to do with the north will know that no infrastructure work is happening at any degree,” he stated.

    “We don’t see any development work. We don’t see any infrastructure occurring. No federal authorities venture in anyway.”

    Lawal defended Kwankwaso’s earlier assertions about neglect, noting that each he and the previous Kano governor share a technical background that makes them attentive to bodily improvement.
