Oloyede mentioned the factors for choice included the establishment with the best variety of candidates in search of admission from it and one which admits candidates from each state of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Different standards, he mentioned, have been the establishments that admitted not lower than 1,500 candidates in whole, and one with the fairest distribution of admitted candidates amongst its catchment states (all states in case of specialized army establishments).

Additionally, establishments with the best variety of admissions of international candidates, essentially the most improved in gender stability and essentially the most compliant with tips for admissions via the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) have been different standards used.
