    2026: PDP finalises plans for FCT Area Council chairmanship elections

    The Peoples Democratic Get together, PDP, has unveiled its Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Space Council chairmanship candidates throughout all of the six space councils.

    Based on the Electoral Committee Chairman, Chris Hassan, who introduced the outcomes, the elections had been free and truthful.

    Hassan stated that in Kuje Space Council, there have been two contestants, Mr. Zacharia Danlami and Mr. Michael Jigu, who later withdrew from the race, leaving Danlami because the lone contestant and winner with all of the 30 votes.

    In Abaji, he stated there was just one aspirant, Mr. Musa Biliyanmu, who scored all of the 30 votes to emerge winner of the election.

    Within the Abuja Municipal Space Council, the Electoral Committee Chairman said that there have been additionally two contestants, Mr. Zadna Dintani, who scored 24 votes to defeat Mr. William Gaje with 12 votes.

    Hassan additional stated that in Gwagwalada Space Council, there have been two aspirants, Mr. Kasim Mohammed, who scored 19 votes to defeat Mr. Rabiu Adamu, who scored 11 votes.

    Then in Kwali Space Council, there have been three contestants: Mr. Harruna Mohammed, who scored 13 votes to defeat Mr. Daniel Ibrahim, who scored 11 votes, and Mr. Shashim Zaka, who scored six votes.

    Based on him, there have been six aspirants in Bwari Space Council, and Mr. Julius Adamu, who scored 19 votes, emerged winner after defeating Mr. Harruna Mohammed, who scored one vote; Mr. Ibrahim Dauda, who scored one vote; Mr. Bitrus Jibada, who scored six votes; and Mr. Zaka Bello, who scored zero votes.

    “I wish to gladly announce to you that the elections had been rancour-free and went easily according to the beliefs of our social gathering.

    “It’s our want that each one aspirants and candidates will work in the direction of the success of the elections come 2026,” he added.
