The Unbiased Nationwide Electoral Fee, INEC, in Zamfara State has reaffirmed its dedication to upholding the best requirements of integrity, transparency and equity forward of the 2027 common elections.
Zamfara Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, Dr Mahmud Isah, gave the peace of mind throughout a stakeholders’ assembly on the resumption of the second section of the Steady Voter Registration, CVR, train within the state.
Isah mentioned the success of the CVR train and future elections relies on the collective efforts of all stakeholders, stressing that INEC, as an electoral umpire, can’t ship a reputable course of by itself.
“I urge all stakeholders to affix fingers with the fee to make sure a reputable election in 2027,” he mentioned.
The REC emphasised that it’s the civic accountability of all eligible Nigerians to register with INEC and procure their Everlasting Voter Playing cards (PVCs) in an effort to take part in electoral actions.
He disclosed that the fee has permitted the nationwide resumption of the CVR, with on-line pre-registration persevering with, whereas bodily registration at INEC native authorities workplaces is scheduled to start on January 5, 2026.
