    2027: Backlash as Kebbi lawmakers donate 25 vehicles to Tinubu’s campaign

    Lawmakers within the Kebbi State Home of Meeting have come beneath heavy criticism following the donation of 25 autos to the Tinubu/Kaura 2 Phrases (TKT) marketing campaign group, which is working in the direction of the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Nasir Idris in 2027.

    Every of the 25 lawmakers reportedly donated an Opel Zafira 2000 mannequin car, with estimated costs starting from N3.5 million to N6 million.

    The autos have been handed over by the Speaker of the Home, Muhammad Usman-Zuru, who stated the gesture was in success of a pledge made in the course of the group’s inauguration on Could 20, 2025.

    Usman-Zuru described the donation as a present of dedication to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and in recognition of what he referred to as Governor Idris’s glorious efficiency and President Tinubu’s help for Kebbi State.

    In line with him, the lawmakers’ contribution was a private effort and never from the state’s coffers. He additionally recommended Governor Idris for sustaining a cordial relationship with the legislature and pledged continued help for his administration.

    The Chairman of the Coalition of Civil Society Organisations in Kebbi State, Ibrahim Ngaski, described the donation as insensitive in mild of the state’s financial challenges, together with insecurity, poverty, and a excessive variety of out-of-school youngsters.

    Receiving the autos on behalf of the marketing campaign group, the Director-Common of TKT, Abdulrahman Manga, thanked the lawmakers for his or her help and stated the autos can be used strictly for marketing campaign actions.
