Benin Republic head coach Gernot Rohr has named Remo Stars goalkeeper Serge Obassa in his 25-man squad for the Squirrels 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers towards Rwanda and Nigeria, DAILY POST reviews.
Rohr, who as soon as dealt with the Tremendous Eagles, unveiled his squad at a press convention in Cotonou on Friday.
Obassa has established himself as Remo Stars’ first alternative goalkeeper since arriving the Nigeria Premier Soccer League, NPFL, champions at first of final season.
Goalkeeper Saturnin Allagbe, Olivier Verdon, Mohamed Tjani ,and Cedric Hountounji are among the many regulars included within the squad by Rohr.
Different regulars within the group are captain Steve Mounie, Junior Olaitan, Jodel Dossou and Tosin Ayegun.
The Squirrels might be away to the Amavubi of Rwanda on the Amahoro Stadium, Kigali on Friday, October.
They will even be on the highway 4 days later with a conflict towards the Tremendous Eagles on the Godswill Akpabio Worldwide Stadium, Uyo.
