Moroccan referee Jalal Jayed will take cost when the Tremendous Eagles face the Democratic Republic of Congo within the remaining of the 2026 FIFA World Cup playoffs on Sunday.
Jayed, DAILY POST recalled, officiated the Tremendous Eagles’ Matchday 5 encounter in opposition to the Amavubi of Rwanda in March. Nigeria received the sport, performed on the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali, 2-0 courtesy of a Victor Osimhen brace.
The 38-year-old’s compatriots, Mustapha Akarkad and Zakaria Bernissi, will function first and second assistant referees respectively.
Mahrez El Malki of Tunisia will act because the fourth official, whereas VAR duties shall be dealt with by Lahlou Benbraham of Algeria and Tunisia’s Haitham Guirat.
